Thrush & Son provides exterior remodeling services across Dayton and the Miami Valley, from the ridge of the roof down to the gutters. Wilbur Thrush started the business in 1960 installing spouting. Three generations later, we handle roofing and siding, replacement windows, entry doors, patio doors, gutters, soffit, fascia and trim.
Most exterior problems start where two of those meet: flashing between a roof and a wall, a window set into siding, a gutter hung on rotted fascia. When one company is responsible for all of it, those joints get built right, and you have one number to call if anything goes wrong.

What exterior remodeling services does Thrush & Son offer?
We install residential roofing, metal roofing, siding, replacement windows, entry doors, patio doors, seamless gutters, soffit, fascia and exterior trim, and we repair storm damage. Commercial roofing is handled by our commercial division, Thrush Roofing.
Is it better to hire one company for roofing and siding?
Usually. Most leaks start where the roof meets a wall or a window meets the siding. When one company does both sides of that joint, the flashing overlaps the way it should, and there's one warranty conversation if something goes wrong.
What order should exterior remodeling projects go in?
Roof first, then fascia and soffit, then gutters, then windows and doors, and siding last, so each layer laps over the one below it. We'll tell you what can wait if you're doing the work in stages.
Can I do one project now and the rest later?
Yes. We'll look at the whole exterior, tell you what needs attention now and what can wait, and plan the first project so it doesn't get torn out when the next one starts.

Yes. The products carry their manufacturers' warranties, and our workmanship terms are written into your estimate so you know exactly what is covered before you sign.
Do you offer financing?

Do you help with storm damage insurance claims?
Yes. We document the damage with photos, meet your adjuster if you want us there, and make the repairs once the claim is settled.
