When water runs behind the gutter
A clogged or sagging gutter stops draining where it should and starts running down the back edge instead. That water soaks the fascia board, peels the paint, and rots the wood your whole gutter system hangs on. Fasteners loosen, sections shift, and it gets worse every time it rains.

Do I need to replace my gutters, or can they be repaired?
Plenty can be repaired. A loose hanger, a separated seam or a pitch problem on one run are repairs, not replacements.
Replacement makes sense when runs are sagging along their length, seams are failing in several places, or the gutters are undersized for the roof area they drain. We will tell you which it is.
What makes seamless gutters better than sectional?
Seams are where gutters leak. Sectional gutters join every ten feet or so, and every one of those joints is a future failure point. Seamless gutters are formed on site to the exact length of your run, so the only joints are at corners and downspout outlets.
Will gutters really protect my foundation?
Yes, when the downspouts are placed and extended properly. Roof runoff dumped beside the house is one of the most common causes of basement water and erosion in the Miami Valley.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency lists roof drainage and downspout extensions among the first steps in protecting a home from water damage. Where the water lands matters as much as the gutter itself.
Are gutter guards worth it?
If you have trees, yes. A good micromesh guard turns twice-a-year cleaning into an occasional look. Cheap plastic screens are a different story and often make clogs worse.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
At least twice a year without guards, in late spring and after the leaves drop. More often if trees overhang the roof.
